Last Sunday afternoon, Boston Spice and I visited Ms. M., who is one of our favorite teachers. I like breaking bread with Ms. M. and her family because they have good energy, especially the mother. Ms. M.'s mother has a spark in her eyes and a hearty giggle that comes from her gut. She is lively and very comfortable with herself.
This was our last visit to Ms. M.'s family home due to our upcoming departures from Japan. The mother commemorated the occasion by giving Boston Spice and I gifts. Boston Spice received a beautiful orange kimono. I received two kimono winter jackets which Ms. M.'s mother wore to warm herself and her daughter over 30 years ago.
Ms. M.'s mother also made us beautiful wall hangings from an old kimono. I think the wall hanging will look great in my future son or daughter's room.
